Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 16:986

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Numayr and Abu Usamah narrated to us, from Ubaydullah ibn Umar, from Khubayb ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Hafs ibn Asim, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) forbade two types of wearing [garments]: The *ishtimal al-samma'* (wrapping oneself in a garment such that no opening is left for the arms) and the *ihtiba'* (sitting with the knees drawn up to the chest) in a single garment, such that his private part is exposed to the sky.
