Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Numayr and Abu Usamah narrated to us, from Sa’d bin Sa’id, from ‘Amrah, from ‘Aishah, she said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) forbade two types of clothing: the *ishtimal al-samma’* (wrapping oneself in a garment such that no opening is left for the arms) and the *ihtiba’* (sitting with one’s knees drawn up to the chest) in a single garment while your private part is exposed to the sky.
