Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:1030

Waki' narrated to us, from Isma'il, from Qays, from Mirdas al-Aslami, who said: The righteous will depart, the first then the first, until there remains only dregs like the dregs of dates and barley, whom Allah will not value at all.
