Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:105

Hatim ibn Wardan narrated to us, from Yunus, from al-Hasan, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said: "If Allah had willed, He would have made you all poor, with no wealth among you. But He tested some of you by means of others."
