Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:1076

Bakr ibn Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, he said: Isa ibn al-Mukhtar narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Abi Layla, from al-Awfi, from Abu Sa’id, from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), he said: "Whoever lets others hear [of his good deeds to be seen], Allah will let others hear [of his hypocrisy]. And whoever shows off, Allah will show off [his true nature] to others."
