Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:1087

Hussain bin Ali narrated to us, from Abu Musa, who said: Al-Hasan recited this verse: "And their father was righteous." He said: I do not hear that he mentioned any goodness in the two of them; rather, Allah protected them due to the righteousness of their father.
