Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:1096

Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Ashhab informed us, from al-Hasan, who said: Whoever among you is able to be an imam for his family, and an imam for those beyond that, let him do so. For there is nothing taken from you except that you have a share in it.
