Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:1099

Waki’ narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Awn, from Muhammad, who said: We used to say that when Allah intends for a servant—I think he said—good, He places for him a restrainer from within himself that commands him to do good and forbids him from doing evil.
