Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:11

Muhammad ibn Bishr al-‘Abdi narrated to us, from Isma’il ibn Abi Khalid, who said: A man from the people of the mosques before the [Battle of] al-Jumajim narrated to me, saying: I was informed that ‘Isa (Jesus) used to say: "O Allah, I have reached the morning not possessing for myself what I hope for, and I am not able to repel from it what I dislike. Good has reached the morning in the hand of other than me, and I have reached the morning pledged for what I have earned. So there is no poor person poorer than me. Do not make my affliction in my religion, do not make the world my greatest concern, and do not empower over me one who does not have mercy on me."
