Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:1109

'Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammam narrated to us, he said: Zayd ibn Aslam narrated to us, from 'Ata' ibn Yasar, from Ka'b, who said: The leader in goodness will be brought on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to him: "Answer your Lord." He will be taken to his Lord, and he will not be veiled from Him. Then he will be commanded to Paradise, and he will see his station and the stations of his companions who used to join him in goodness and assist him in it. It will be said to him: "This is the station of so-and-so, and this is the station of so-and-so." He will see what Allah has prepared for him in Paradise of honor, and he will see his station as better than their stations. He will be clothed with the garments of Paradise, a crown will be placed upon his head, he will be perfumed with the scent of Paradise, and his face will shine until it is like the moon. Hammam said: I think he said, "the night of the full moon." He said: He will go out, and no group of people will see him without saying: "O Allah, make him one of them," until he comes to his companions who used to join him in goodness and assist him in it. He will say: "Rejoice, O so-and-so, for Allah has prepared for you in Paradise such-and-such, and has prepared for you in Paradise such-and-such." He will continue to inform them of what Allah has prepared for them in Paradise of honor until their faces become covered with whiteness like that which covered his face. People will recognize them by the whiteness of their faces and say: "These are the people of Paradise." The leader in evil will be brought, and it will be said to him: "Answer your Lord." He will be taken to his Lord, and he will be veiled from Him. Then he will be commanded to the Fire, and he will see his station and the stations of his companions. It will be said: "This is the station of so-and-so, and this is the station of so-and-so." He will see what Allah has prepared for him therein of humiliation, and he will see his station as worse than their stations. He said: His face will turn black, his eyes will turn blue, and a cap of fire will be placed upon his head. He will go out, and no group of people will see him without seeking refuge in Allah from him. He will come to his companions who used to join him in evil and assist him in it. They will say: "We seek refuge in Allah from you." He will say: "May Allah not grant you refuge from me." He will say to them: "Do you not remember, O so-and-so, such-and-such?" He will remind them of the evil they used to join him in and assist him in. He will continue to inform them of what Allah has prepared for them of the Fire until their faces become covered with blackness like that which covered his face. People will recognize them by the blackness of their faces and say: "These are the people of the Fire."
