Affan narrated to us, he said: Sulayman narrated to us, from Thabit, who said: Ibn Abi Layla said: I have traveled to these garrison cities, and I have not seen anyone who performs the night prayer (tahajjud) or is earlier in the remembrance of Allah than the people of Basra.
