Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:127

Waki’ narrated to us, from ‘Ali ibn ‘Ali ibn Rifa’ah, from al-Hasan, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was on a journey of his, and he descended at a rough, barren place. He commanded his companions, so they descended. He said: Then he commanded them to gather [their provisions], so a man would come with the small to the small, and the large to the large, and the thing [to the thing], until they had gathered a great mass. Then the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "This is the likeness of your deeds, O children of Adam, in good and evil."
