Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:1280

Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammad narrated to us, he said: Thabit informed us that Abu Bakr used to recite this verse: "You will not cease mourning a loved one until you become him. And the youth may hope for a hope, while he dies before it."
