Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:1286

Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, he said: Malik ibn Mighwal narrated to us, from Talha, who said: It was asked, "Who is the one who grows fat in times of plenty and times of drought? And who is the one who grows lean in times of plenty and times of drought? And who is the one who is sweeter than honey and does not cease?" He said: "As for the one who grows fat in times of plenty and times of drought, it is the believer who, if he is given, he is grateful, and if he is tested, he is patient. As for the one who grows lean in times of plenty and times of drought, it is the disbeliever or the wicked person who, if he is given, he is not grateful, and if he is tested, he is not patient. And as for the one who is sweeter than honey and does not cease, it is the affection of Allah which He has placed between the hearts of the believers."
