Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:1306

Ibn Idris narrated to us, from his father, from al-Minhal, from Shaqiq ibn Salamah, who said: We entered upon Khabbab to visit him, and he said: "In this coffin [chest] are eighty thousand [dirhams], I did not tie them with a thread, nor did I withhold them from a seeker." They said: "Why are you weeping?" He said: "My companions have passed on, and the world did not diminish anything from them, and we have remained until we find no place for it except the dust."
