Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from Ya'la ibn 'Ata, from his mother—and she used to grind kohl for 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr—that he used to extinguish the lamp and weep until his eyes became encrusted.
