Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:1328

Sa'id ibn 'Abdullah narrated to us, from Nusayr ibn Dhu'luq, from Bakr, who said: When al-Rabi' ibn Khuthaym reached the mosque of his people, they said to him, "O Rabi', if you would sit and speak to us today." He said: So he sat down. Then a stone came and struck him, causing a wound. He said: "So whoever has received an admonition from his Lord and desists, then what is past is his."
