Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:1330

Sa'id ibn 'Abdullah narrated to us, from Nusayr, from Bakr, who said: When it was said to al-Rabi', "How have you reached the morning, O Abu Yazid?" he would say: "We have reached the morning as weak, sinful people; we eat our provisions and await our appointed times of death."
