Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:1341

Muḥāḍir narrated to us, he said: Al-Aʿmash narrated to us, from Yazīd ibn Abī Ziyād, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Ḥārith, who said: There is no tree, small or large, nor the eye of a needle, moist or dry, except that there is an angel assigned to it who brings to Allah its work every day, with its moisture when it is moist and its dryness when it is dry.
