Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:1348

Jarir ibn Abd al-Hamid narrated to us, from Fudayl ibn Ghazwan, who said: Abu Ja'far Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid used to take his servant girl to the market, and he would recite to her verse after verse of the Qur'an, teaching her. And he would stand up at night in his courtyard and recite it to her.
