Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:1354

Ubayd Allah ibn Musa narrated to us, he said: Shayban informed us, from Adam ibn Ali, he said: I heard the brother of Bilal, the mu'adhdhin of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), saying: "People are three thirds: a *salim* (safe one), a *ghanim* (gainer), and a *shajib* (perishing one)." He said: "The *salim* is the silent one. The *ghanim* is the one who enjoins good and forbids evil, for he is in an increase from Allah. The *shajib* is the one who speaks obscenity and aids in injustice."
