Hadith 33:1390

Muhammad ibn Mus'ab narrated to us, he said: Abu Bakr narrated to us, from Damrah, that Abu Rayhanah was stationed (as a *murabit*) in the Jazira at Mayyafariqin. He bought a rope from a Nabataean of its people for some *fulus* (small coins). When he returned and they were at al-Rastan, he dismounted from his beast and said to his servant, "Have you paid the Nabataean his *fulus*?" He said, "No." He said, "Then extract the expenditure from my expenditure," and he handed it to his servant. He said to his companions, "Assist him well with his beasts until he reaches my family." They said, "O Abu Rayhanah, what do you intend?" He said, "I intend to go to my creditor so that I may discharge my trust." He said: So he set off until he reached Mayyafariqin, then he came to his family after he had paid his creditor.
