Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:1397

Al-Fadl ibn Dukayn narrated to us, from Ja’far ibn Burqan, who said: Maymun ibn Mihran narrated to me, saying: It reached me that a man from the sons of Ibn Umar asked him for an izar (lower garment). He said: "My izar has become torn." He said: "Cut it, then turn it upside down." The young man disliked that. So Ibn Umar said to him: "Be careful not to be among the people who put what Allah has provided for them into their bellies and upon their backs."
