Abu Usama narrated to us, from Abu Hilal, who said: Hafs al-Dabbi narrated to us, who said: Abdullah ibn Abi Mulaykah said: Umar said: "O Ka'b, narrate to us about death." He said: "Yes, O Commander of the Faithful. It is a branch with many thorns, inserted into the interior of a man, and every thorn catches onto a vein. Then, a man of great strength pulls it, so it takes what it takes and leaves what it leaves."
