Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:1422

Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, he said: Hammad ibn Salamah informed us, from Thabit al-Bunani, from Mutarrif, from Ka’b, who said: There is no servant except that there is wisdom in his head. If he humbles himself, Allah raises him; and if he acts arrogantly, Allah lowers him.
