Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:1469

Mu'adh ibn Mu'adh narrated to us, from Malik ibn Dinar, who said: Al-Hajjaj made me weep in your mosque while he was delivering a sermon. I heard him saying: "Let a man provide for himself; let a man admonish himself; let a man not entrust his soul to itself; let a man take from his soul for his soul; let a man have a restrainer from Allah the Exalted for his tongue and his heart." He said: So he made me weep.
