Hadith 33:1498
Al-Hasan ibn Musa narrated to us, he said: Sa'id ibn Zayd narrated to us, he said: Sa'id ibn Iyas al-Jurayri narrated to us, he said: Abu al-'Ala' narrated to us that a man from the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was overtaken by death, and he began to say, "Woe is me! Woe is me!" It was said to him, "You are lamenting?" He said, "I asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and I said, 'What is sufficient for me of the world?' He said, 'A servant and a mount.' So I neither remained silent and refrained from asking him, nor did I, when I asked him, stop at his words. I have acquired from the world, and in my hand is what is in my hand, and death has come to me."
