Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:253

Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Habib, who said: Some people from Iraq came to 'Amr, and among them was Jarir ibn 'Abdullah. He said: So he brought them a large bowl that had been prepared with bread and oil. He said: Then he said, "Come here, for I see what you are coming towards. What thing do you want? Sweet, sour, hot, or cold? And [it is just] something to be thrown into the bellies."
