Abdullah ibn Idris narrated to us, from Layth, from Zubayd ibn al-Harith, from Murrah ibn Sharahil, who said: Abdullah said: "Fear Allah as He should be feared." And the right of fearing Him is that He is obeyed and not disobeyed, that He is remembered and not forgotten, and that He is thanked and not ungratefully denied. And the giving of wealth while loving it is that you give it while you are healthy, stingy, hoping for a long life, and fearing poverty. And the superiority of the night prayer over the day prayer is like the superiority of secret charity over public charity.
