Abu Usama narrated to us, from Mis'ar, who said: I heard 'Awn ibn 'Abd Allah saying: A man recited in the presence of 'Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud: "Has there [not] come upon man a period of time when he was not a thing [worthy of] mention?" 'Abd Allah said: "Would that that had been completed."
