Abu Usama narrated to us, he said: Sulayman ibn al-Mughira narrated to us, he said: Thabit al-Bunani narrated to us, he said: Abu Ubayda ibn al-Jarrah was a commander over al-Sham, so he addressed the people and said: "O people, I am a man from Quraysh, and I, by Allah, do not know of any red or black person who excels me in the fear of Allah, except that I wish I were in his skin."
