Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:397

'Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, he said: Thabit narrated to us, from Anas, who said: I arrived at Abu 'Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah's [house], and he lodged me in a corner of his house, while his wife was in another corner, and there was a curtain between us. He would milk the she-camel, then come with the vessel and place it in my hand. A man from the Tulaqa' (those freed at the conquest of Mecca) said to him, "Do you lodge this [man] in a corner of your house with your wife?" He replied, "I am observing through him the caravan of one whom, if I were to meet him stripped of his clothes, I would wait for every mount [to pass by first out of respect/caution]."
