Abu Usama narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abu al-Muhajjal, from Ibn Imran bin Hattan, from his father, who said: Abu Dharr said: A righteous companion is better than solitude, and solitude is better than a bad companion. One who dictates good is better than one who is silent, and one who is silent is better than one who dictates evil. Trustworthiness is better than the seal (ring), and the seal is better than thinking evil.
