Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:564

Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Simak, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas regarding [the verse]: "In order that you may not grieve for what has escaped you, nor rejoice in what has come to you." He said: There is no one who does not grieve and rejoice, but [the successful one is] he who makes patience out of calamity and makes gratitude out of prosperity.
