Hadith 33:614

Abu Usama narrated to us, from Mujalid, from Abu al-Wadak, from Abu Sa’id, who said: Indeed, Ibrahim will meet his father on the Day of Resurrection, and he will cling to him. Ibrahim will say to him, "I used to command you and forbid you, but you disobeyed me." He will say, "But today, I will not disobey you." He said: So Ibrahim will proceed toward Paradise, and he [his father] will be with him. He said: It will be said to him, "O Ibrahim, leave him." He will say, "Indeed, Allah promised me that He would not disgrace me today." He said: Then a messenger from his Lord—an angel—will come to Ibrahim and greet him. Ibrahim will be startled by him and will speak to him, and he will be occupied until he is distracted from his father. He said: The angel will depart, and Ibrahim will walk toward Paradise. He said: His father will call out to him, "O Ibrahim!" He said: He will turn toward him, and his appearance will have been changed. He said: Ibrahim will say, "Uff, uff," then he will walk to Paradise and leave him.
