Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Muslim or someone else—al-A'mash was uncertain—from Masruq, who said: "Indeed, the best state of my suspicion (or expectation) is when the servant says: 'There is not in the house a qafiz of wheat, nor a dirham.'"
