Hadith 33:649
'Affan ibn Muslim narrated to us, he said: Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, from Mughirah, from 'Amir, that a man used to sit with Masruq, who knew his face but did not know his name. He said: So he accompanied him [to see him off]. He said: And he was among the last of those who bade him farewell. He said: "Indeed, you are the leader of the reciters and their master, and your adornment is an adornment for them, and your disgrace is a disgrace for them. So do not let your soul contemplate poverty or a long life."
