Ja'far ibn 'Awn narrated to us, from Mis'ar, from 'Asim, from Abu Wa'il, who said: I have not likened the reciters of this time of ours except to gilded dirhams, or sheep that grazed on saltbush (al-hamd) until their bellies swelled, so a sheep was slaughtered from among them, and behold, it had no marrow.
