Abu Usama narrated to us, he said: Sa’id ibn Salih informed us, from Hakim ibn Jubayr, who said: Abu al-Bakhtari said: "Three things—that I fall from the sky is more beloved to me than that I be one of them: A people who made lawful [the use of] hadiths that have adornment and splendor, and became weary of the Quran. And a people who obeyed a created being in the disobedience of the Creator—meaning the people of Syria and the Khawarij."
