Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 33:73

Mu'awiyah ibn Hisham narrated to us, he said: Sufyan ibn Aslam al-Minqari narrated to us, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, he said: The eyelids of Ya'qub (Jacob) had fallen over his eyes, so he used to lift them with a piece of cloth. It was said to him, "What has brought you to this?" He said, "The length of time and the abundance of sorrows." Then Allah revealed to him, "O Ya'qub, you have complained about Me." He said, "O my Lord, it is a sin I committed, so forgive it."
