Mu'adh ibn Mu'adh narrated to us, from Sulayman al-Taymi, from Abu 'Uthman, from Salman, who said: If a man were to spend the night giving [money to] white singing girls, and another man were to spend the night reciting the Qur'an and remembering Allah, I would consider the one remembering Allah to be better.
