Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Ali ibn Zayd, who said: I heard Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz delivering a sermon in Khanasirah. I heard him saying: "The best of worship is the performance of the obligatory duties and the avoidance of the forbidden things."
