Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Sa'id, who said: It reached me that Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz addressed the people at Arafah and said: "O people, you have come from near and far, having exhausted your mounts and worn out your garments. The fortunate one is not he whose mount or riding beast arrived first, but the fortunate one is he whose [deeds] are accepted."
