Al-Hasan ibn Musa al-Ashyab narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from Habib ibn Shahid, who said: I heard Abu Bishr narrating from Sahm ibn Shaqiq, who said: I came to 'Amir ibn 'Abd Qays and sat at his door. He came out, and he had performed ghusl (ritual bathing). I said, "I see that you like ghusl." He said, "I often perform ghusl." He said, "What is your need?" I said, "The love of hadith." He said, "And your covenant with me is the love of hadith."
