Hadith 33:938
Abu Usama narrated to us, from Awf, from Ghalib ibn Ajrad, who said: A man from the jurists of the people of Ash-Sham narrated to me in the mosque of Mina, saying: "Indeed, Allah created the earth and created what was in it of trees. There was no one among the children of Adam who would come to a tree from those trees except that he would attain good from it, or it would have good for him. The tree remained like that until the wicked ones among the children of Adam spoke the grave word, their saying: 'Allah has taken a son.' Then the earth shuddered, and the trees became thorny."
