'Affan narrated to us, he said: Ja'far ibn Sulayman narrated to us, he said: I heard 'Abd Rabbih Abu Ka'b saying: I heard al-Hasan saying: The believer in this world is like a stranger; he does not compete for its honor, nor does he despair over its humiliation. People have a state, and he has a state. Direct these affairs wherever Allah has directed them.
