Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, he said: Qurrah ibn Khalid al-Sadusi narrated to me, he said: Abu al-Zubayr narrated to us, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, he said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "A people will come who recite the Quran, but it will not pass beyond their collarbones. They will pass through the religion just as an arrow passes through the game animal, upon its fletching."
