Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, he said: Musa ibn Ubaydah informed me, he said: Abdullah ibn Dinar informed me, from Abu Salamah and Ata ibn Yasar, they said: We came to Abu Sa’id al-Khudri and said: "Did you hear anything from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, regarding the Haruriyyah?" He said: "I do not know what the Haruriyyah is, but I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying: 'There will come after you people who will make you belittle your prayer in comparison to their prayer, and your fasting in comparison to their fasting, and your worship in comparison to their worship. They will recite the Quran, but it will not pass beyond their throats. They will pass through the religion just as an arrow passes through the game.'"
