Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 38:19

Abu Usama narrated to us, he said: Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from his father, he said: Abu Nadra narrated to us that the Rabi'ah spoke to Talha in the mosque of Banu Maslama. They said: "We were at the throat of the enemy until your pledge of allegiance to this man came to us, then you are now fighting him," or as they said. He said: So he said: "I was taken into the privy, and the bridle was placed upon my neck, and it was said: 'Pledge allegiance, or we will kill you.'" He said: "So I pledged allegiance, and I knew that it was a pledge of misguidance." Al-Taymi said: And Al-Walid ibn Abd al-Malik said: "A hypocrite from the hypocrites of the people of Iraq, Jabala ibn Hakim, said to Al-Zubayr: 'For you have pledged allegiance.' Al-Zubayr said: 'The sword was placed upon the back of my neck, and it was said to me: Pledge allegiance, or we will kill you.' He said: 'So I pledged allegiance.'"
