Hadith 38:39

Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn Idris narrated to us, from Husayn ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Yusuf ibn Ya'qub, from al-Salt ibn Abd Allah ibn al-Harith, from his father, who said: I came to Ali when he had finished [the battle of] al-Jamal. He set off toward his house while taking my hand. When we arrived, his wife and his two daughters were weeping, and he had seated a slave girl at the door to inform them when he arrived. The slave girl was distracted by what she saw the women doing until he entered upon them, and I remained behind, so I stood at the door. They fell silent. He said, "What is the matter with you?" He rebuked them once or twice. One of the women among them said, "We said what you heard; we mentioned Uthman and his kinship, and al-Zubayr and his kinship." He said, "I truly hope that we are like those whom Allah described: 'And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment, [so they will be] brothers, on thrones facing each other.' And who are they if we are not them? And who are they?" He repeated that until I wished that he had remained silent.
